Connecting Horses, People & History

Changing Tides is proud to be part of the East Hampton community. We’re creating a place where horses, people, agriculture, and community come together through hands-on experiences and shared care for the farm.

Changing Tides is located on a portion of the historic Sherrill Farm property in East Hampton. With deep agricultural roots, the property has long been connected to farming, animals, and the local community. We’re proud to be part of that history while creating a new chapter centered around horses, education, and community.

Ways To Connect
Community Events

From farm events and workshops to local gatherings, there are opportunities throughout the year to connect with Changing Tides and experience life at the farm.

Get Involved

There are many ways to be part of our community — volunteer, support the rescue, attend an event, or simply follow along with what’s happening at the farm.

IN OUR COMMUNITY

Being part of a community means more than what happens on our own farm. We’re excited to connect with local organizations, schools, families, and community members through events and hands-on experiences.

East Hampton Historical Farm Museum

We’re proud to partner with the East Hampton Historical Farm Museum for community events at their historic farm at 131 N Main Street, East Hampton.

We’ve already had the opportunity to participate by bringing two of our horses to their farm for a meet & greet opportunity. We are excited to continue working together.

Local Schools

We're working to build relationships with local schools and create opportunities for students to experience hands-on learning at the farm.

We’re excited to welcome students from the East Hampton High School Life Skills class for an upcoming field trip to Changing Tides.

Students will have the opportunity to spend time at the farm and learn through hands-on experiences with the horses and our daily routines.

We look forward to growing these partnerships and creating more opportunities for local students to connect with animals, agriculture, and farm life.

Hampton Classic Horse Show

Changing Tides was proud to participate in the Hampton Classic Horse Show for two days this year.

We joined the event’s Animal Welfare & Adoption Day, where we shared more about our rescue and the horses in our care. We also spent a day in the Kids Tent, leading a hands-on arts and crafts activity for children. We’re grateful for opportunities like these to meet our local community, share our mission, and introduce more people to the work we’re doing at Changing Tides.
