About Our Farm

At Changing Tides, our mission is to provide a caring home for retired horses, hands-on educational programs, and sustainable farming that connects animals, people, and the community. We strive to create a peaceful, purposeful environment where horses thrive, students and participants learn, and visitors experience the benefits of nature, stewardship, and horsemanship.

Founded by Kailee Brabant and Dr. Nora Kleps with a vision to honor both the animals in our care and the agricultural heritage of our community, Changing Tides combines expert equine care, immersive learning experiences, and sustainable land practices to make a lasting impact on horses, people, and the environment. Our programs reflect this vision, focusing on compassionate care, practical learning, and meaningful connections between animals, people, and the land.

The Team

Kailee Brabant- Co- Founder & Director of Programs

Kailee’s equestrian journey began at age twelve, when she worked at a local stable in exchange for riding lessons. It was during this time that she discovered the healing power of horses—witnessing how they inspire trust, confidence, and emotional growth in those around them.

With extensive experience caring for horses of all ages, Kailee specializes in creating peaceful, supportive environments for senior and retired animals. She has held leadership roles in equestrian programs and taught riding and horsemanship to children and adults, emphasizing safety, skill development, and responsible care.

Kailee earned a Bachelor of Science in Equine Business Management from Johnson & Wales University, providing her with a strong foundation in equine science, farm management, and business operations. She designs and leads hands-on workshops, horsemanship programs, and equine-assisted services that foster learning, trust, and meaningful human–animal connection.

Kailee oversees daily operations and educational initiatives. Her vision is to cultivate a farm where compassion, education, and sustainable practices come together—a place where horses retire with dignity, participants learn through experience, and the community connects with nature and the rhythm of the land.
